More books gone

On Sunday, George, the book guy, phoned me and asked if it was convenient to take away the rest of the books I’d culled. Naturally I said yes! 

So now 30 large boxes of books have left the building! And my built-in bookshelves are still pretty full. I have 17 more boxes currently stored in the linen press to be sorted, but they’re not in the way and I’m happy to leave them until later.

Now my priority is to a) clear out the front room (where the book boxes and other things had been piled) and b) start on clearing and tidying my office. In the front room I am making way for my dad’s old roll-top desk, which I’ve finally been able to get — well, it’s being delivered. It’s been sitting in my B-I-L’s shed all this time but when my niece visited her folks she initiated the return of the desk, for which I’m very grateful. When it’s here, I’ll show you.

And in the meantime, I’m on the final stages of A BRIDE FOR MARCUS — finailzing revisions, then the last chapter and epilogue. I’d like to have it ready for sale in time for the ARRA signing in Melbourne, which is on Saturday 28th March. I’m only signing in Melbourne, but if you’re able to pop in, I’d be delighted to see you. The list of authors appearing in each city is below, but the list is still being finalized. I’m a definite, though.
