A Gorrrrgeous Cover
This beautiful cover landed in my in-box just as I was frantically getting ready to jump on ta plane to Darwin, in the Northern Territory.
I am thrilled to bits with it. It’s absolutely perfect for the story. Okay, she wasn’t wearing short sleeves in the snow, but I don’t care — in all other respects, it really suits the story.

The cover designer is Kim Killion, and honestly she’s brilliant. I didn’t give her much of a detailed brief but she nailed it in one.
So here it is.
I’m in Darwin now, and am about to have dinner with an agent and another author friend, so not much time to say much more. But I will try to get a link up to a jigsaw, as soon as I can. Staye tuned.
I also have audio news, but I’ll keep that for another post.
Suffice it to say that two exciting emails this morning has really sent me off to a great start at this conference. I’m grinning all the way!
So, what do you think of my new cover?

Gorgeous is right! Excited to read this when it comes out in the USA.
Absolutely gorgeous – and very much an “Anne cover”! Have fun in Darwin!
Love it! As a portrait Artist & Art Teacher I can confidently say this is one of the most beautiful book cover’s I’ve seen! My favorite definition of “good art” is that “one should be able to look at it for a long time without becoming bored or irritated”. I could happily look at this again and again. It even has a perfect way of leaving the image: the A in Cinderella subtly points to the way to leave when you have looked… Read more »
Absolutely lovely and perfect colouring which is simple and no jarring bright red berries. I’m so looking forward to the story.
THANK YOU – am just finishing re-re-etc. reading Marry in Scarlet. THANK YOU – pat
Ethereal and inviting, can’t wait to read it!
The cover is great!!
I love this. So quietly evocative and beautiful.
Can’t wait to read the story.
Thank you in advance. It’s always exciting to have a new story from you and this cover is so enticing.
Exquisite! What a beautiful face. Very much looking forward to reading :)
(btw one or two stressful things going on with me at the mo, but my escape and de-stress is listening to the audiobook of Marry in Scarlet. How I love that story. Always makes me smile. Thank you, Anne.
Lovely. Good enough to have had my mother, back in the day, consigning the book to the garbage, or putting it on the shelf at the store to sell! (My father’s store.) My school copy of Pride & Prejudice wound up there because of the cover illustration….
Beautiful cover Anne! I am very interested in purchasing this as both a physical book and a jigsaw puzzle. (Hope the puzzle is 1000 pieces). Do you have editorial help when you self-publish? I noticed a number of grammatical errors in A Bride for Marcus (which I am sure you are already aware). I am a long-time lover of the historical romantic fiction genre and have all your books. They are well-read and so it is important to me that each physical copy is bound securely so that they last as long as possible. Many thanks for all your writing.… Read more »
