My Red Boots
I’ve had a couple of requests to post a pic of my red western boots that I bought some years ago in San Antonio, so here they are, sitting on the hotel bed the day I bought them.
I was originally after red boots, but even though the assistant at the huge boot store I was shopping at looked everywhere, she couldn’t find any.
So I bought the black ones — I was determined to leave Texas with a pair of boots. Then while I was waiting for a taxi to take me back to the hotel, I wandered around (in the air-conditioning) and lo and behold ! There on a shelf were the very boots I’d been looking for, and they were in my size. I probably should have swapped them, but my taxi finally arrived and so I hurriedly bought the red boots and headed back with two pairs of boots and a boot-jack, which I’d read about but never used. Both boots are very comfortable, but the red ones are my favorite.

Those are gorgeous boots, Anne – the stitching is always what makes Western boots special, I think, and those have terrific stitching! But also good to have a second pair – that way, both will last longer!:)
Thanks, Constance. Yes, both of them have good stitching — but the red ones don’t show as well.
